Testimonials

I just wanted to comment on the fine job done by Deidra, A. Kindred RN, BSN as my nurse advocate. I didn't know what a nurse advocate was, nor did I know that I needed one. I found out that she is an integral part of my recovery and I am blessed and grateful that she is on my team. She is the "go-between" me and my doctors and she arranges my transportation to the various appointments. She is a GODSEND  and I am very fortunate that she is working with me.

-Ray MM

I can not say enough good things about Deidra and her company. I’m an autistic disabled 20-year-old who has had a hard time navigating my health and she’s been amazing at helping me. From doing the medical binder all the way to her being there for appointments she is an amazing and wonderful lady who truly cares about her clients and is there for them. If I could give her unlimited stars I would. I will never be able to show how grateful I am to her and the care she provides me.

-Patient

I could not say enough to justify everything Deidra has done for myself and my family. She’s been there for us through everything and has been so kind, attentive, supportive, dependable, and dedicated. She inspires me to stay motivated and hopeful of our situation which I so appreciate.

-Marcella

Deidre has been a life saver and a breath of fresh air for our family in the care of our disabled brother. She knows how to navigate the healthcare system, has excellent resources, is kind and caring, listens to our concerns, communicates effectively, and has a positive attitude that comes through in everything she does. While taking care of the big things, she never forgets the small things that make a difference to our brother and make him feel special, like sending him a card on his birthday. We sleep better at night knowing that our brother is in good hands with Deidre in charge both now and into the future. Thank you, Deidre!

-Chris M

Deidra is fantastic. I live far away from my brother who is disabled, but Deidra has taken away my worries. She looks after him as if he were a member of her family. She takes precautions when screening people to perform in-home services. She makes sure he has the help he needs and gets him to all of his appointments (after also making those appointments). When I bring up concerns, she comes to the meetings with solutions. She knows the resources available and is able to get just what my brother needs — all with a sunny attitude and respect for the opinions of her clients. Thank you for everything, Deidra

CEO & Owner

I love educating individuals and families with the right information to make the right choices for themselves. I have over 15 years experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care, former owner of Affordable Assisted Living & Services, 5+ years as a home health nurse, 3+ years as a home care infusion nurse, and 3 years as a Certified Legal Nurse Consultant.

I've always felt that the healthcare system can be an intimidating world for those who are not healthcare professionals. I've experienced this professionally and then personally when my mother became ill and was battling MS, Parkinson's, Cancer, Asthma, and Dementia. I feel a strong purpose from GOD to help others on their personal journeys. As Your Healthcare Nurse Advocate, I work for YOU. To help you have an individualized understanding of your personal journey. I have the time to help answer your questions and hear your concerns. I feel if you are educated on your personal medical journey you are equipped to make better health choices. We are Your Nurse Advocates.

Why Does Patient Advocacy Matter?

Reported greater care with representation

Family Members & Patients

The skills nurses need to become successful advocates include the ability to develop a clear and broad understanding of the issues, to know the players, and to know how their proposed solution will impact the problem being addressed. As noted above, nursing is the most trusted profession. Yet nurses need to earn this position of honor, respect, and trust every day. Similarly in the policy-making arena, trust is of paramount importance and needs to be earned.
